We are a third party commissioning agent, and coordinate with construction, operations, and maintenance teams to fully commission the facility. We recommend the industry accepted 5 step commissioning process, using NETA testing standards.Data Environments, Inc. provides commissioning process expertise to document a data center for electrical and mechanical loads and capacities, as commissioning loads are raised from 0% to 100% of the full design load. The commissioning process is one of the few occasions when a data center can be evaluated from 0% to 100% load on utility and generator power, without risk to customer loads. Mechanical load testing can be used in a “live” data center without interference to existing systems or networks. After testing, the data can be provided within 72 hours, along with recommendations for improvement. Data Environments provides on-site commissioning coordination, including pre-startup site inspections, startup coordination, breaker testing witness and breaker setting per the coordination study, torque verification, cable testing verification, installation verification to client standards, vendor support for startup, commissioning of equipment during Levels 3, 4 and 5 of the process, owner’s representative, and factory testing witness.
We coordinate critical monitoring, report on evaluations from equipment vendors, and upload documentation during commissioning. We provide significant experience in the commissioning of facilities under full design load conditions, and performance to the design sequence of operations for electrical, mechanical, BMS, and power monitoring systems.
